At InfluInspect.com, I, Sofie Couwenbergh, recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. Below you can find information on what types of personal information I receive and collect when you use InfluInspect.com, and how I safeguard your information.

Data collected
Log Files
As with most other websites, InfluInspect.com collects and uses the data contained in log files. The information in the log files includes your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited my site and which pages you visit.
Please note that this website uses IP Anonymization, which means that I am not able to link the information gathered while you are on this website to you as a person. I simply know that someone has visited the site, spent some time here and clicked around but I cannot identify that person as being you (or anyone else, for that matter).
The data gathered in log files are used to analyze how visitors, in general, use the website, to know if everything is working properly and to make improvements where needed.
To be able to sell subscriptions on this website, InfluInspect.com uses Woocommerce. Woocommerce tracks:
- Products you’ve viewed: this is used to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
- Location, IP address, and browser type: this is used for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
- Shipping address: this is to estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order, in case you’re product is shipped to you
We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.
When you purchase something on this site, we’ll ask you to provide information including your (company) name, billing address, shipping address (not always), email address, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Set up your account for our store
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve the store offerings
- Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them
If you create an account, we will store your name, address (not always), and email address, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 10 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address, and billing and shipping addresses.
We will also store comments or reviews indefinitely, or until the page you left your comment/review on is removed from the website, if you choose to leave them.
Payments
This website accepts payments through
PayPal,
MasterCard,
VISA, and
American Express. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to these payment processors, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.
Please see their respective privacy policies linked to above for more details.
Cookies and Web Beacons
This website uses cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit this site. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience.
In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like commenting forms, and provide
anonymized tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics. If you want to, you can opt-out of being tracked through Google Analytics but please note that
- this will have a major negative effect on how I can analyze what people want from this site
- it’s not necessary to do so if you want to visit this site anonymously. Your visit to this site is being tracked but you are not identified as the person paying the visit.
If you still want to opt-out of Google Analytics,
You can read how Google uses data
here.
As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. I suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at
the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.
Please note that I do not have any control nor access to cookies used by third parties. To learn more about the privacy policy and cookie use of third parties, please consult their websites and privacy policies. The privacy policy of InfluInspect.com does not apply to them.

here.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Should you choose to voluntarily disclose personal information on my site in the comments, please be aware that that information can be viewed publicly and can be collected and used by third parties without our knowledge and may result in unsolicited messages from other individuals or third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of this policy.

ConvertKit does not process “sensitive personal data” under the GDPR. I will only use your email address stores this way to send you the newsletters you subscribed to. I will not share it with any other third party.
If you have subscribed to the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any point by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any of the newsletters I’ve sent out. You can also email me to ask me to unsubscribe you.
If you have subscribed to the newsletter by entering your name and email address to a form on this site, that information is stored in my database. It is only ever used to subscribe you to my newsletter. It is never shared with a third party.
How long your data is retained
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. The only exception is when you have commented on an article that is deleted from the blog. In that case, your comment and information attached to that comment are deleted together with the article.
For users that register on the website (for example, when creating an account to buy an itinerary), the blog also stores the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Your right to view your data, download it, and/or have it deleted
As a user of this blog, you have the right to ask me for a list of the data I hold on you as well as a right to have that data removed. Please note that this does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
In regards to the newsletter, you can subscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in every newsletter. Please note that by doing so, you won’t receive any more emails from me. Upon your request, I can also remove your email address and any data attached to it from ConvertKit.
In regards to the comment section of this blog, I can manually delete your entire comment if you don’t want it there anymore.
